Pisac

The giant terraces of the Inka site of Pisac, with the Sacred Valley in the background.

For some reason, there are holes that go through the doorways in some of Pisac's buildings, perhaps for attaching cloth or something decorative? If anyone knows, let me know.

View of one of many sectors on the mountain behind the modern town of Pisac.
Those Inka sure did like their canals.

Mummy niches, with Vicky for size, again with the holes.
Bath in the sun temple sector (every important Inka site has a temple for the sun).

Aerial view of the sun temple, with its fine masonry, canals and baths, centered around a sacred rock outcrop. Most tourists only visit this part of the site.
